Foxfire Nature Preserve

Indiana Natural Areas: Allen County

Foxfire Sign

Foxfire Sign

Foxfire Nature Preserve is named for a mushroom that glows faintly in the dark. Alas, the preserve closes at dusk. Eight acres with a nice long-stemmed lollipop trail through woods rich with oak, hickory, and maple. Healthy spring wildflower population, including mayapple, bloodroot, and toothwort. No facilities.
